neaten. does not collect, transmit, or store any data about you or your device. Everything stays on your phone.
neaten. collects no personal data. We have no accounts, no sign-in, no analytics, no crash reporting, and no backend server. We have no way to identify you, and we do not try to.
All saves, collections, notes, and thumbnails are stored locally in a database on your device (SQLite via Drift). This data never leaves your phone unless you choose to back it up yourself through Android's standard backup mechanisms.
When you save a link, neaten. makes a network request to the URL you shared in order to fetch its title, thumbnail, and description (via Open Graph or oEmbed). This request is made directly from your device to the target website — not through any cranbena. server. No information about you or your saves is included in these requests beyond what any browser would send when visiting that URL.
neaten. does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, crash reporting, or tracking SDKs.
neaten. does not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children.
If this policy changes materially — for example, if a future version of neaten. introduces optional cloud features — the updated policy will be posted in the app and on the Play Store listing, with a new effective date.
